The sob story of Dongqiu clan – Qingkui and Yetan’s true home clan — continues.
Chaofeng asks Husui a really smart question here: why did you make them release their powers earlier on?
Erm… because you and Youqin were slow and the two girls would have died if they didn’t fight back with something?
The Hoarse Voice guy runs back to the Void Realm and tells the Void King what he saw. The Void King summons all the other kings to his realm and lets them in on the truth.
The Heaven King is happy because he finally has a legit reason to kill Yetan.
The Beast King is reluctant and the mortal king says no.
But it’s the Void King and the Heaven King’s decision that matters, and they decide life is tasteless without hunting and torturing innocent kids who have done nothing beyond being rebellious teenagers.
I guess one of them could be reasonable and try to eliminate the potential threat by making sure the princesses are well monitored and influenced. But heck, that would mean actual work for these kings and actual planning from the writers, so screw it.
The Beast King goes to the gang and tells them to run away and don’t tell him where. He doesn’t allow Dilanjue to go with them, though. The Beast Couple are so far the most sensible and reasonable parents out of them all. They are willing to help but they draw clear lines.
Ziwu goes back home and tries to make the Heaven King change his mind by… threatening to kneel in front of the hall forever. Okay, I guess we can give her credit for trying. But listen, girl, your father is crazy, you need better threats.
The Heaven Court doesn’t agree with their king though. The three friendly deities ask for proof that Yetan is bad. The barbequing a bull and roasting Youqin’s hair don’t really help her case, but the point is, no one can find a legit reason to charge her with any crime.
Not that the Heaven King cares about reason.
On the run, Chaofeng reminds Youqin not to show mercy to the Heaven Soldiers if they encounter them.
