Eternal Love of Dream – Unhelpful Recap (Episode 6)

Princess Jiheng moves into Donghua’s palace as his fiancee. She doesn’t look too happy about having to marry him, though.

Liansong is running out of ideas to get Chengyu’s attention and decides to have a new weapon made for her as a gift. This is supposed to be a dagger that can turn into a long sword and do all kinds of… cool weapon-y stuff.

After a long discussion about his own wonderful personality, Donghua agrees to help and goes out to gather the necessary materials.

Fengjiu, who apparently also understands weapons, has some suggestions to make about the diagram. Unable to write with her fox paws, she asks Si Ming to help make these notes.

When Fengjiu brings this diagram back to Donghua’s room, however, she meets Jiheng there. One thing leads to another and Donghua comes back to find Jiheng holding a pen at his desk, the diagram with the notes in front of her. He then mistakes that Jiheng is the one who made those notes.

Jiheng doesn’t deny it when Donghua praises her skills, earning herself a great deal of admiration from the ice man. Feeling indignant, Fengjiu bites Jiheng’s hand and runs away in her adorable fox pet form, upset that Donghua treats her like a… fox pet.

Shouldn’t Donghua recognize Si Ming’s handwriting on that diagram, though?

That night, Donghua gives Jiheng some tutoring about weapons while he himself works on a painting of some (blu-ish) purple plant. Jiheng doesn’t like this weapon business that much, but she sticks around to finish the project Donghua asked her to do because he promises to give her the painting as a reward, and that’s just too irresistible a gift.

Imagine having this much purple to hang on your bedroom wall.

The next day, Jiheng and Donghua go out for a picnic, because it’s either that or fishing again. When Jiheng tries to get Fengjiu’s paw print onto a ceramic bowl for a perfectly friendly reason, the latter loses control and scratches Jiheng’s face, leading to Donghua locking her up.

Then, he offers Jiheng his handkerchief, which, unsurprisingly, is also purple.

Later on, the poor fox also gets bullied by Donghua’s pet lion. This man needs to control his pets better.

In the end, Donghua dances with the newly made sword because… well, he can.
