Fengjiu steps out of the ice coffin and begins to look around to see what exactly is going on. She bumps into Donghua and the Demon Lady. Upon seeing her, Donghua kind of forgets that a duel is still going on and stares at Fengjiu for a while.
Look out behind you! Fengjiu warns him. And Donghua responds by… not looking behind him. Instead, he opts for that fantasy-male move: lunging over to shield her from whatever’s coming at them, assuming that his back is good enough a defence strategy. I sure hope no one ever sends a shower of arrows at you.
To be honest, though, I don’t think it’s about protecting Fengjiu at this point. The rock just wants an excuse for some skin-ship after watching guy after guy forming great relationships with Fengjiu.
Donghua continues the fight afterwards. After a while, when it has quieted down, Fengjiu goes out to look for him. She finds him in a cave, injured all over but still standing, and definitely still strong enough for a first real kiss without any identity confusion.
She tends to his injuries. When Donghua shows some signs of being shameless again, however, Fengjiu puts him down. She demands that they talk about everything that happened. Jiheng, the Magic Fruit, Xiaoyan, it all comes out of the bag. This little fox is so much more mature than her aunt.
Donghua asks what else he can do to make Fengjiu believes he likes her. She doesn’t give an answer. Well, you can always start by giving her that fruit so we can have our General Ye back.
Afterwards, they decide to return to the palace and continue to carry out the Aranya Dream. But Donghua also finds something peculiar about the connection between Aranya and Fengjiu, so he prepares to create a kind of a “mirror of truth” to get some answers.
Moye, on the other hand, is not so happy that Aranya’s body has dissipated.
That kiss… that’t all I will say… 😉
