EPISODE 29
The Heaven Realm is feeling good these days. Magic fruits are being handed out to immortals and students so they can get an extra boost of power to study and get ready for school tests.
When Yetan comes into her class that day to ask for one of those fruits like everyone else, however, the immortal in charge refuses to give her one. He lists all kinds of nonsense reasons, but the bottom line is, he is trying to humiliate Yetan. This guy is a cousin of Biqiong. No wonder.
When Yetan demands to know why she is not treated fairly, the man springs an attack on her, forcing her to her knees.
Youqin comes in right at that moment to witness the injustice; ‘cause what else is he gonna do with his spare time anyway now that the world doesn’t need saving anymore?
When Youqin sees Yetan hurt, he comes up to the immortal with the fruits in a dramatic manner, slaps and slams the man in front of everyone. Unfortunately, this man and Biqiong belong to a clan whose alliance the Heaven needs, so now Youqin is in trouble with his already unreasonable father.
I wanna resign, warggg, says Youqin. Now that he has done his job, the Heaven no longer needs him.
His father says that it doesn’t have to be that dramatic, all he wants is for Youqin to implant a piece of glass inside him so that he will forget all the memories he shares with Yetan in the mortal realm. The Heaven King wants the robotic, goal-driven Youqin back.
Youqin refuses. He believes he is able to function properly even with those memories and emotions. Can you, though?
This doesn’t sit well with the Heaven King, he times-out Youqin, locking him inside a big magically sealed bubble.
Feichi, Youqin’s assistant, feels like there’s another reason behind Youqin’s wish to resign. And he is right. Youqin wants to move far away from the Heaven so that Yetan’s real identity would never be exposed.
In the Void Realm, Qingkui and her gang – Chaofeng, Haichao, Sushui – set up Wudai with the Snake Princess, hoping for happiness for them both.
The problem is, though, the Snake Princess is a little aggressive. As in “pushing Wudai to a boulder and urging him to kiss her” aggressive.
Now, Wudai is pretty aggressive himself, but not to this extent, he at least gives the person he likes some time to think about his offer. This princess, though, wants an answer right away.
She doesn’t care that Wudai has spent a lot of time reading up on acupuncture and memorising all the texts or whatever — yeah, he has, because Qingkui inspires him to, aww — she demands to know what he thinks of her and chases after him for it. The big, muscly Wudai is finally afraid of something.
The Void Queen has a plan to hurt Chaofeng. She coaxes the Void King into arranging the engagement between Qingkui and Wudai and announces it during a gathering that day. Nooo, Wudai, don’t fall for this trap.
The Queen even tries to arrange the Snake Princess with Chaofeng, but the girl turns down this insane proposal right away. I don’t like Chaofeng, she says to everyone’s face. Had Chaofeng not already been in love with someone else, though, this could have been one big, humiliating jab.
Still, the Wudai + Qingkui engagement stands.
