Everyone gets together for a snack session with cakes and biscuits that Fengjiu made. The girls aren’t very comfortable sitting here, though.
During the party, Jiheng keeps giving Donghua the soup she made. I think the man wants cakes and biscuits, Jiheng.
Things get so awkward that Fengjiu and Xiaoyan decide to leave and hang out on their own, or they try to, but get thwarted by Donghua, who doesn’t seem happy that Fengjiu knows Xiaoyan’s favorite snacks. I mean, they do talk to each other a lot. Like friends do.
That night, the Demon Lady’s spirit traps Jiheng and possesses her mind. At one point, Jiheng has more chemistry with her than she ever does with Xiaoyan.
The next morning, Jiheng tells Xiaoyan that she feels weak and tired and needs his help. And I thought Zhihe was the dangerous one.
An overjoyed Xiaoyan declares he will do anything for her and decides to compete with Fengjiu for the fruit of immortality. Is this fruit the only way to cure illnesses?
Fengjiu agrees graciously and she and Xiaoyan are still friends.
When the Bird Princess hears about this, she cautions Xiaoyan that maybe Jiheng is just using him, but quickly retracts her statement when Xiaoyan seems dejected. Hmm, Xiaoyan and this princess might make a nice couple.
Donghua offers to tutor Fengjiu for the competition, which, of course, is an excuse for him to be close and catch her whenever she falls from a high place. And that’s kind of what happens, he makes her practice jumping back and forth on snow castles, and this makes her prone to slipping and falling.
At one point, her face smashes right into Donghua’s and her teeth do some justifiable damage.

Up in the heaven palace, Chengyu is worried about Fengjiu. But Liansong tells her to rest assured things are better than she can imagine. He even shows her some snippets of what’s going on in the bird kingdom, including the face-smash kiss. Hmm… from what angles are these magic cameras installed and are there limits to their usage? Anyway, I hope immortal bathrooms have the corresponding magic to deal with this.
lol. I am so happy you are covering the whole drama after all this time. I really think the latter parts are so good. I do wish they had just continued with the original Peach Blossoms storyline and made it their own, but this one is so quirky and sweet. Love all your vids and reviews!
