*Devy = Devil = Dongfang Qingcang
Separated from Orchid during the battle against Ronghao, Devy (who looks like Orchid) runs into Changheng. When Changheng gets too close, Devy bites his arm, slams his chest, and races away, once again turning a serious moment into comedy.
I’m not sure biting is what a full-blooded male would do against a threat, though, they’re more likely to use their fist immediately. Unless, of course, it’s just a sign of his secret attraction to Changheng? It’s OK, Devy, you’re not the only one in this fan club.
Devy and Orchid bump into each other again, this time, Changheng follows them closely. Orchid, afraid that Changheng might try to kill her if he sees her in this form, hides behind a tree. Devy takes this opportunity to play a little game. He asks Changheng whether Changheng would defend Orchid until the end, despite what the Heaven Lord wants. When Changheng understandably stumbles, Devy hammers it in that only the Moon Lord will be able to protect Orchid at all costs. Just in case the viewers don’t know that yet.
Ronghao jumps in at this time — not as a villain — tells Changheng the truth and urges him to kill Devy while he is still in Orchid’s body.
But Orchid isn’t going to let that happen. She still considers Devy a friend. She grabs and kisses him when thunder suddenly erupts and they switch back. Changheng and Ronghao combine forces in an attempt to control the situation, but it is a little late now. Devy goes into his Hellfire mode and explodes.
Also, he doesn’t think one kiss is enough, he wants to see Changheng foaming at the mouth, so he snatches Orchid back for another one despite her protest.
That is not cool, Devy.
Ronghao decides to retreat and Changheng passes out as soon as they escape from the battle. Ronghao brings Changheng back to consciousness using his own power, which is a big risk. So he’s still a good friend to Changheng at least.
Back home, Devy effortlessly captures his younger brother who was trying to take advantage of his absence to seize the throne. Afterward, a harder task awaits Devy: understanding his two most recent kisses. Seems like he never quite processed the previous ones, either.
