Not much going on in this episode regarding the important stuff.
Fengjiu and the demon lord quickly become friends as they exchange romance tips, they’re the best partners-in-crime. While trying to escape the isolated mountain, they fall down some Bird Kingdom and get captured.
It gets a little confusing here because it is unclear what the demon lord and Fengjiu can do in terms of magic. Actually, it’s confusing regarding every character’s magic. How powerful are they exactly, why can’t they escape this place, and what would happen if they just fought their way out?
Up in the heaven, Donghua is worried over his lost “handkerchief”, though not worried enough to actually go look for her. He is quite sure that she will be safe as soon as winter comes. Donghua’s assistant isn’t sure what he’s going on about. Neither am I, buddy.
Yan Chiwu runs into Jiheng, who is posing as a court musician. She pretends not to recognize him, but then he pulls on her hair like a kindergartener and she drops the pretense. Chiwu promises to leave her alone until she feels better.
Rumors are going around that there’s a competition coming up for students of this kingdom. The prize is a fruit of immortality that can resurrect the dead among other things. Fengjiu is overjoyed and tries to sign up for this contest. Hmmm… Still thinking of how General Ye suffered for you and trying to make it up for him, Fengjiu? I hope so.
Somewhere in the dark realm, the Big Bad Demon Lady is thinking of this fruit too.
